I had an excellent working relationship with Lindsey. Her reading of my manuscript was extremely thorough and her editorial letter comprehensive. The in-margin comments I received not only pointed out weak areas in the structure, pacing, or character development of the novel, but also included suggestions on how to solve those problems.

Lindsey has been marvelous. I hired her a year ago for a developmental edit on a fairly rough draft because of her expertise in genetics and alternative fiction.
On the exact day she specified, she sent me an encouraging, comprehensive document along with notes in the margins that covered many things, not just one focus. We scheduled a follow-up call, which was the icing on the cake. She encouraged me in my fictional goals and creativity in ways to help me improve.
Among other things, she gave me the tools to transform my dialogue and to actually understand the art of writing showing versus telling. There may be a place for AI tools, but there is nothing like a human editor to help us write for people.
It’s not an exaggeration to say her work is superlative.

Shortly after my novel got accepted, imposter-syndrome started replacing my confidence with self-doubt, as it so often does. Lindsey's editorial letter couldn’t have come at a better time, and although I had felt overwhelmed initially, my outlook completely changed during the second read-through. Some feedback can be tough to hear after spending months on a manuscript, and yet it was because I had spent months writing it I felt it deserved to be better than it was.
